Being Alone with Grace
Contemplating solitude while observing the natural world offers a holistic perspective on life. Frequently, we attempt to exert control over our surroundings, yet the tighter our grip, the more resistance we encounter. Over the past 11 months, my life has been marked by numerous losses and betrayals. No matter how hard I toiled, things continued to unravel, leaving me with little resilience. I descended into a depressive state and secluded myself at home for a month, grieving my losses and resenting life's circumstances. Fortunately, the support of my loving family and friends' wisdom and guidance steered me through my tumultuous thoughts. Their presence gave me the strength to take that crucial first step forward.
The time alone allowed me to confront myself, dissecting each situation and finding inner peace. I liberated my mind from dwelling on the past and dedicated this time to crafting a future that brought me joy. While external circumstances and events remain beyond my control, I found that I held the reins over my thought processes.
I embarked on a journey of gratitude for those who had betrayed me, choosing to bless them with love. I embraced the kindness and care they had once shown me while letting go of what no longer served my well-being. I expressed gratitude for the valuable lessons they had imparted during our time together. As for my dearly departed loved ones, I honored their memory in the way they would have wished.
As my mind cleared and I surrendered to God, I noticed a newfound flow in my life. New friendships blossomed, and a sense of harmony returned. By delving within, spending time with myself, and discovering more about who I am, I found a wellspring of joy that had long eluded me.
When the mind is tranquil, clarity will follow.
